After the theatre became a charitable trust substantial fundraising was required to cover the costs of the auditorium refurbishment. The Auditorium Appeal was launched in November 1986. This photo shows our board’s President Isobel Gatward, former Chief Executive Dennis Hall and other board members with a scale model of the planned refurbished theatre.
