Been in the area 40+ years so visited many performance - shows, ballets, opera.
Memories: RSC "Midsummer Night's Dream" Hilarious! Fairies in Doc Martens! My children were then 12 & 8 - both hooked on Shakespeare ever since! (Thank you)
"Romeo & Juliet" ballet - very hot day - felt for the dancers in very hot costumes!
"Cats" - Who appeared in the auditorium.
A version of "Carmen" with real horses (& awful trumpets!). "Singing in the Rain" Paul Nicholas in the lead. Another baking hot day - he had the last laugh - he loved being in front of the 'fountain'.
Mayflower has provided my intro to Opera - thank goodness for surtitles!
All good memories & brilliant, today, to see how it all works so well.
THANK YOU
