Note
As someone who grew up (moderately) far away from Southampton, I can't say I share the same early experiences as most other people. However, this enables me to recalls my first experiences at the Mayflower. I was 10 years old, and my fellow Year 6 friends and I filled onto the coach in order to see the ballet, Cinderella. My adolescent mind did not consider that a ballet does not have involve speaking, so, inevitably, I spent the whole performance thoroughly confused.
