Title
My Story Memory: Beverley Rose remembers not wanting to leave the theatre after seeing The Beatles
Date
1964
Note
The excitement of seeing The Beatles live at The Gaumont. My Dad got up early and posted a request for tickets under the door on the way to work. My sister and I were over the moon when the tickets arrived. We sat amidst the screaming girls in our Beatles' jumpers (home made) longing to be able to hear the Fab Four deliver their wonderful music. I remember clinging to the railings outside afterwards, not wanting to leave my beloved heroes. Their music made our adolescence not only bearable but took it to a level that would last a lifetime. I am eternally grateful.
I can go there to hear live, beautiful music to lift my spirits.
