1971 - London Festival Ballet, Gaumont Theatre. Now the English National Ballet & Mayflower! I was 10 years old and had the opportunity to be on stage with all those wonderful dancers, Margaret Miklosy, Carol Yule... I was a mouse. Really a mouse in The Nutcracker with the Julia Chittendens School of Dancing.
1979 - Selling Ice creams, standing up in the gods, with my back to the drop... scary! Or perhaps trying to do the maths was scarier. 75p + 19p is what again? The show was The Two Ronnies and I knew the script by heart!
2014 - After many years of dancing in Paris & Europe the nearest I got to dancing on the Mayflower stage again in 2014. The ENB had an adult ballet class on stage. Absolutely wonderful experience!
Beautiful Theatre. Some wonderful shows that come down from London. A little pity that they are so expensive and there is no longer the opportunity for standing?
