First Brick laid in Empire Theatre
1928
When our theatre opened in 1928 it was named Empire Theatre. Empire Theatre was first designed by two architects, William and T.R. Milburn and was built by the local dockyard workers. This is one of the first foundation stones laid for the theatre on 2nd February 1928.
