After the theatre was taken over by Southampton City Council, extensive work began on refurbishing the theatre. This included excavating a new orchestra pit, enlarging the scene dock and installing a new 300 way lighting system. This booklet was created as part of the theatre's reopening to explain the detail of the work that had taken place across the year.
